Wellfleet again. This time, it was too quick of a trip and left me longing to one day call this quiet town home. Under the new moon on Sunday, I made some wishes.
A few things from the walk in the rain around the Lechay house:
Thomas' homework for the weekend; the Weidlinger restoration project. These are some before photos the crew is using to maintain the original aesthetic and construction of the house.
Before, above. Below, the progress on the screened deck cantilevered over the wetlands.
The hairpin turn that leads down to the house, tucked into the woods. Thomas has been lucky enough to see foxes and coyotes; the only neighbors nearby.
On Monday morning, this is what I left behind to head back to reality. Back to city life, traffic, crowds. It was a sad day.
